Cabras Marine Corporation (CMC) hosted the Guam Community College’s (GCC) National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI) Program’s field trip at our PACDIM Facility this week. CMC values its close partnership with GCC in providing valuable job opportunities to the local community of Guam. The purpose of the field trip was to instill a variety of opportunities in the transportation industry to Guam’s large pool of youth. The 17 middle schoolers who visited CMC’s PACDIM Facility took a tour of our yard showcasing our various skilled labor shops (Mechanical, Structural, Carpentry, Electrical, Facilities & Equipment, etc.) as well as CMC’s Marine Assets. The field trip wrapped up with a tour of the harbor CMC operates in utilizing C/B Patriot.
CMC is committed to supporting Guam’s local community with opportunities in the maritime or ship repair industry which have proven to be essential industries in the region. CMC is appreciative towards GCC for allowing their summer program students to take time out of their day to visit our facility and welcomes any additional educational programs interested in visiting as well!
