Cabras Marine Corporation (CMC) is pleased to announce the great accomplishment of the following employees, Jason Reyes (left) and Arthur Adelbai (right) in recently passing their Master of Vessels less than 500 Gross Register Tonnage (GRT) Near Coastal Exam with U.S. Coast Guard’s National Maritime Center making them both fully licensed to operate vessels under 500 GRT Near Coastal Waters. As part of their training and preparation, Jason and Art went through several months of training at CMC’s Maritime Training Facility (a U.S. Coast Guard recognized training facility in Guam for select maritime courses) under the tutelage of our Maritime Training Instructor. As part of our commitment to employee career advancement, CMC is dedicated to training and developing our employees through the certified training courses offered at our very own Maritime Training Facility in an effort to enhance the capabilities of our local mariners.
Jason has been with CMC and operating primarily at our sister company, Saipan Marine Corporation (SMC) as a licensed Crewboat Operator and licensed Tankerman Person In Charge (PIC) since 2010 while Art has been with our CMC family since 2021 as a licensed Crewboat Operator. We are proud to share in their accomplishment and wish them all the success as they complete their Apprenticeship as a Tug Master in the next several months under the mentorship of our Harbor Pilots and 1600 GRT Masters. Look out for them operating one of our Tugs independently very soon!
