Cabras Marine Corporation (CMC) performed marine logistical support services for the U.S. Navy’s marine survey of the CNMI’s Farallon de Medinilla (FDM) island. The survey will be conducted by Navy civilian marine ecologists, supported by Active-Duty U.S. Navy divers from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Detachment Marianas. CMC designated its M/T Chamorro, crewed by Capt. Colin Campbell and adequate mariners, to assist with operational requirements under close guidance from the United States Coast Guards to meet regulatory standards. M/T Chamorro was capable of supporting eight (8) U.S. Navy personnel, with associated diving equipment, while moored onsite at FDM site for U.S. Navy Dive Operations. Capt. Colin provided daily updates to CMC’s management team on statuses of the vessel and personnel while also ensuring safety and pollution prevention is kept paramount all throughout operations.
