MARAD’s Small Shipyard Grant Program Award

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) awarded $19.6 million in discretionary grants to 24 U.S. small shipyards through the Small Shipyard Grant Program. The program provides funding to assist eligible shipyards modernize operations, improve efficiency, and benefits from increased productivity by investing in emerging technologies and a highly skilled workforce. Cabras Marine Corporation is proud to announce that we have been awarded a total of $1 million for the acquisition of a brand-new Link-Belt 175-ton All Terrain Crane. In addition to improving efficiency, the acquisition of this 175-ton crane will contribute to CMC’s capability to improve ship repair operations effectively on Guam.
