Welcome to Cabras Marine

Cabras Marine Corporation (CMC) is the leading provider of pilot, tug, barge, spill response, firefighting, and ferry services on Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. CMC, which operates as a Woman-Owned, HUBZone certified, U.S. Small Business, has been professionally servicing commercial and military enterprises in the region since 1975 and continuously strives to provide elite performance for both current and prospective clients. In its early days, CMC started with three tugboats and two barges and has since grown dramatically both in terms of assets as well as business diversification.

Throughout the years, CMC has kept pace with the rapid development of Guam and the CNMI and maintained its status as the region’s premier provider of tug and pilot services through the Company’s ongoing expansion and modernization. Today, CMC and affiliates operate a fleet of 12 tugboats, 7 barges, 2 offshore supply vessels, 6 crew boats, 2 pilot boats, and 1 floating dry dock. CMC also owns and operates a 50-ton Kobelco crane as well as a 90-ton and 175-ton LinkBelt crane. These assets provide critical tug, pilot, tow, ferry, spill response and repair and maintenance support to naval operations and commercial shipping in the Micronesian region while our personnel remain extensively qualified in support of the Company’s objectives.

CMC formally entered the ship repair business on Guam in 2013 and has since proven to be a dedicated provider of repair and maintenance services for commercial and government clients on Guam. CMC strives to continue being the shipyard of choice on Guam and the Mariana Islands. CMC is committed to providing an economical alternative and delivery within the stated Period of Performance (POP).

CMC operates the Pacific Dry-dock and Integrated Maintenance (PACDIM) facility providing ship repair services for commercial and government vessels as well as CMC’s own assets as an ABR certified shipyard.

PACDIM is CMC’s Guam base and in addition to being where CMC assets (tugs, floating drydock, barges, etc.) are based, the facility also houses our corporate offices, maintenance and shore support facility, warehouses, etc.

This facility is located on the waterfront at the Jose D. Leon Guerrero Commercial Port of Guam. PACDIM was taken over by CMC in 2011 through a long-term lease. The facility is hosted on 5.4 acres of land that is under a 100-year lease with the Port Authority of Guam. PACDIM serves as the repair and maintenance base for all of CMC’s assets in addition to supporting U.S. government and commercial ship repair work.

CMC recently completed performance under a multi-year contract to perform repair and maintenance of U.S. Navy assets through the Military Sealift Command (MSC). CMC continues to provide these services under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with MSC which began in 2017. Services provided by CMC at and out of its PACDIM base include, but are not limited to, ship fitting, pipefitting, water blasting, deck repair, painting, mechanical services, scaffolding services, electrical motor rewinding and dry-docking services for vessels under 1,000 tons. CMC presently owns the only waterfront full-service shipyard facility on Guam and the neighboring islands. The closest repair facility with similar capabilities is in the Philippines.
