COVID-19 Safety

Safety is paramount at Cabras Marine Corporation; therefore, we ensure that our employees are provided with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to stay safe and healthy during our daily operations. In addition, CMC has implemented the following safety measures to adhere with the COVID-19 pandemic:

1. Limiting personnel at our PACDIM facility for essential operations to maintain social distancing measures.
2. Greener Day Resources has provided multiple fogging services with Zoono, an antibacterial fogging mist, to deep clean our entire fleet and PACDIM facility.
3. Our marine operators have implemented full sanitation measures by disinfecting vessels between operations as a preventative safety measure.

4. There are numerous handwashing stations laid out throughout the facility for our employees to have convenient access to wash their hands frequently.


MARAD’s Small Shipyard Grant Program Award
April 21st, 2020

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) awarded $19.6 million in discretionary grants to 24 U.S. small shipyards through the Small Shipyard Grant Program. The program provides funding to assist eligible shipyards modernize operations, improve efficiency, and benefits from increased productivity by investing in emerging technologies and a highly skilled workforce. Cabras Marine Corporation is proud to announce that we have been awarded a total of $1 million for the acquisition of a brand-new Link-Belt 175-ton All Terrain Crane. In addition to improving efficiency, the acquisition of this 175-ton crane will contribute to CMC’s capability to improve ship repair operations effectively on Guam. We’d like to thank Lt. Cabras Marine Corporation (CMC) is the leading provider of pilot, tug, barge, spill response, firefighting, and ferry services in Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana’s Islands. CMC, which operates as a woman-owned business, has been professionally servicing commercial and military enterprises in the region since 1970 and continuously strives to provide elite performance for both current and prospective clients. CMC also performs quality ship repair services on Guam at its PACDIM facility as an ABR certified shipyard. CMC recently completed performance under a multi-year contract to perform maintenance and repair of U.S. Navy assets through Military Sealift Command (MSC).CMC continues to provide these services under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity ( IDIQ) contract with the US Military Sealift Command starting October 1, 2017.

Cabras Marine own's Pacific Dry-dock and Integrated Maintenance (PACDIM) providing ship repair services for commercial and government vessels, respectively. Services provided include but are not limited to ship fitting, pipefitting, water blasting, deck repair, painting, mechanical services, scaffolding services, electrical motor rewinding and dry docking services for vessels under 1,000 tons. CMC provides ship repair service to three different markets. In addition to supporting ship repair needs for its own fleet of assets, CMC provides ship repair services to Commercial Customers like Crowley, DZSP .Patriot Contract Services, OSI and  to US Military Sealift Command Vessels operating in the Guam area.

CMC’s fleet is 100% U.S. Flagged and classed with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Bureau Veritas (BV), and Germanischer Lloyd (GL).

Cabras Marine Corporation is a woman-owned, HUBZone certified, small business enterprise, established in 1970 as a provider of pilot and tug services. Cabras has since kept pace with the rapid development of Guam and the CNMI and maintained its status as the region’s premier provider of tug and pilot services through the Company’s ongoing expansion and modernization. Cabras’s fleet currently numbers 25 vessels, including ten tug boats, seven crew boats, six barges, one container ship, and one skimmer boat, and our personnel remain extensively qualified in support of the Company’s objectives .


In 2012, Cabras Marine Corporation consolidated its management and industrial support operations into Pacific Dry-Dock and Integrated Maintenance Facility (PACDIM), a waterfront property at the Jose D. Leon Guerrero Commercial Port of Guam.
